About Robin Fox

Growing up in Detroit, music was always a huge part of my life. My mother, Saretta, was involved with many aspects of the entertainment industry. She owned an advertising agency which she named after me called Robin Productions. My mother felt I was always lucky for other people and indeed Robin Productions proved to be very successful for her in the Detroit area. Now you have to remember that this was a time when women usually didn’t work outside the home so I was, and still am, so very proud of what she accomplished.

This was the 60’s and Motown was in its infancy. I loved gospel and soul music….still do. I remember coming home from school and hearing about her adventures . Perhaps she was having a meeting with the late great Marvin Gaye or meeting with the Rev C.L Frankin. The Reverend had asked my mother to manage a very difficult daughter of his named Aretha. (She turned him down….who knew???)

I learned from an early age that music was powerful.  Just think about it- a certain song can evoke a memory, a person, or just a special time in our lives. This is why I love bringing these concerts to you. When I look out into the audience and see everyone enjoying themselves (even for a few hours), and forgetting about their problems, that is what makes me happiest…..

Please let me hear from you and always keep on “Rockin.”
